The Node – A Creative Hub in Central Stockholm

In 2015, a report by IFPI highlighted Stockholm's shortcomings as a music city. Björn Ulvaeus addressed the issue, prompting action from Stockholm Business Region and collaborations with SKAP. Today, The Node, in partnership with the Avicii Foundation, serves as a creative hub for music and the arts.

Located beneath the fountain at Sergels Torg, The Node is designed as both a creator’s home and an audience’s living room. The brief was to create some kind of artwork aligning the space with its vibrant, creative vision. I contributed by creating expressive, colorful artwork to transform the previously blank walls and made a capsulecollection not only for The Node to decorate their new venue with, but also for musiclovers to bring home. Music to me is all about the feels, a good tune is doing something to me on the inside. So I chose eight great artists from one decade from the 50´s up til the 20th century that contributed to the history of music. I used their music as a direct inspiration for these pieces as I visualized how they make me feel.
